1. Keeping it light with springtime desserts

After you've finished the Peeps and jelly beans and chocolate eggs the Bunny left, what are you going to do for sweets? You don't want to hark back to chocolate fudge cakes and bread puddings. Too heavy for the days ahead. Our exercise du jour, then,...

  3. Raise your glass: Cuda Punch, Barracudas

With bridge construction and a large truck parking lot next to Barracudas in Locust Point, you probably wouldn't think "tropical paradise" when you first step through the door. But co-owner Paul Cuda's namesake, Cuda Punch, will bring your taste buds as close as they can get to Tahiti without booking a flight or cruise.

  9. Tea has its time

Great conversation while dinning on delicate cucumber sandwiches. Hot, buttery scones fresh from the oven. Zesty smooth lemon curd. And don't forget the clotted cream. There's nothing like a traditional afternoon tea.

  13. Curry favor with a flavorful Indian meal

Most of us so-called grown-ups are just like the kids. As much as we moan about going back to school, we're pretty much over our free-form summer hours and want to get back to some sort of routine. One of the things we look forward to is seeing friends and family we've missed during the hot months due to varying vacation schedules.

  17. 100 things we love about Baltimore -- Printable list

A moody tavern. An extraordinary cocktail. The easy lapping of bay water against the banks of the Inner Harbor. Duckpin lanes. Old Bay. Art in an otherwise empty storefront. For all of these things, and for so many more, people love Baltimore. People feel how they feel about this place for their own reasons. It's personal and not necessarily explainable. Something between them and the city. But in the spirit of sharing the love, we asked some of the city's best-known personalities to reveal something that makes them fall for Baltimore. Take this list as personal suggestions, from one neighbor to another.

  23. Table Talk: Sticky Rice rolls into Fells Point

Baltimore <a href="http://findlocal.baltimoresun.com/listings/sticky-rice-baltimore">Sticky Rice opened last month in the old Friends space in Fells Point. The first Sticky Rice, in Richmond, Va., was opened in 1999 by John Yamashita and Jason Henry. Located near Virginia Commonwealth University, the restaurant's giddy mix of Asian noodle dishes, salads, pub grub and a full sushi bar caught on quickly with the student population. A menu considerate of vegan and vegetarian tastes and appetites also contributed to Sticky Rice's popularity, as did the restaurant's cheeky, rascally atmosphere.
