Weekend STEM Festival set for Howard CC

The first annual Howard County STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Festival is Sunday, June 9 from 1-4 p.m. in Duncan Hall at Howard Community College. The event is geared toward middle-schoolers, but all ages are welcome. The event is free and open to the public. One of the event’s organizers, former Board of Education candidate David Gertler, said he expected anywhere from 500-1,000 people at the event, which features speakers, presentations and demonstrations relating to STEM career fields.
