Man arrested after Hampstead Burger King robbery

A 25-year-old man from New York City was arrested Friday morning after police say he robbed a Hampstead Burger King. Jacob Halberstam will be charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft over $100, according to a Carroll County Sheriff's Office press release. Police said a call was received a 10:17 a.m. to report a robbery in progress at the Burger King on Brodbeck Road in Hampstead.
