Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate are living together.
We repeat: Two women who fight for a living and have never hidden the disdain they hold for one another are living together, as coaches for the upcoming UFC reality show "The Ultimate Fighter."
So, uh, how's that working out, Ronda?
"Oh, we're fantastic," Rousey said of Tate during a MetroPCS chat this week. "We cooked cupcakes together last night and had a sleeping party and braided each other's hair."
Do we detect a note of sarcasm there? (Answer: Yes.)
UFC President Dana White was a bit more direct when asked about how the relationship between Rousey and Tate is affecting the taping of the program earlier this month.
"It's going exactly the way you thought it would be going: bad," White said following a media event leading up to UFC 161. "Dead serious. Miesha and Ronda hate each other. It's literally crazy drama every day. It's irritating."
He added: "I don't even know if some of the stuff will make TV. Those two do not like each other, and their camps do not like each other. And it's just pure ... mayhem every day."
The show is set to premiere on Fox Sports 1 in September. Rousey is expected to defend her title against Tate later this year.
