It took two years, but pop star Christina Aguilera has sold her 10,000-square-foot gated mansion in Beverly Hills for $11.5 million.

Set on nearly two-thirds of an acre, the Mediterranean-style home has a grand foyer with a sweeping staircase, a fanciful children’s room, a gym, a game room, a gift-wrapping area, a movie room, a beauty salon, six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The master bedroom suite contains a lounge, a fireplace and dual bathrooms and closets. There is a guesthouse/recording studio.

Outdoor entertaining areas include a pagoda and a swimming pool with a waterslide and grotto spa.

The property was purchased from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 2007 for $11.5 million, according to public records.

Aguilera sold to move to nearby Mulholland Estates, where she bought the home of Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores for $10 million.

Aguilera, 32, is among the world's bestselling recording artists, with sales of more than 50 million records. The Grammy winner's hits include "Ain't No Other Man," "Beautiful" and "What a Girl Wants." She was a coach on the TV singing competition "The Voice."

Time magazine recently named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Brooke Kaufman of Hilton & Hyland in Beverly Hills was the listing agent. Jane Gavens of Coldwell Banker’s Beverly Hills South office represented the buyer.
