Six local soldiers assigned to the 49th Personnel Services Battalion made their return to Sacramento following a 1 year deployment to Kuwait. The soldiers arrived at Sacramento International Airport after serving as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in Kuwait, they were responsible for processing thousands of service-members on their way in and out of Iraq. Their tasks included reception, return-to-duty, R&R, replacement, and redeployment of military personnel in the combat zone.
