ELK GROVE—A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a string of arson fires in the Elk Grove area.
Authorities with the Cosumnes Community Services District report the juvenile was arrested in connection with two fires at the Laguna Boulevard Spaghetti Factory on May 4th and three fires at Elk Grove-area schools the following day.
The suspect, who wasn't identified because of his age, was booked into the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall and will be arraigned on four counts of structural arson and one count of wilderness arson at a future hearing.
Investigators are still looking into a monetary figure for how much damage was caused to the structures following the fires, but report the physical damage of the structures was minor. There were no injuries in association with with fires.
