SACRAMENTO COUNTY—The Drug Enforcement Agency is holding a nationwide Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Saturday September 25th.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is partnering with the DEA and collecting potentially dangerous, expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The service is free and no questions are asked when you turn in your unused prescription medications. The goal of the program is to reduce prescription drug abuse and make sure people dispose of their medication properly.
