California Hall of Fame: John Madden

Celebrating its fourth year in existance, the California Museum released the name of thirteen public figures to be inducted into the California Hall of Fame this December.

The thirteen inductees, among which include entertainer Carol Burnett, film-maker George Lucas, gay rights advocate Harvey Milk and football commentator John Madden, will join 38 other Hall of Fame inductees.

"The California Hall of Fame celebrates our must influential women and men," said Governor Schwarzenegger. "I am excited about this year's fantastic inductees."

"I'm thrilled to be honored by the state I love," said entertainer Carol Burnett. "My fondest memory as a kid was climbing the Hollywood sign."

Existing Hall of Fame inductees include Theodor " Dr. Seuss" Geisel, Jack Nicholson, Steve Jobs, Willie Mays, Tiger Woods, Elizabeth Taylor, Ronald Reagan, Alice Walker, Cesar Chavez, Walt Disney and John Wayne.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at the California Museum in Sacramento on December 1st.
