A fire early this morning consumed most of two buildings in Midtown Sacramento, one of which was a recording studio used by many local artists, including Tesla's new album that is due next year.

The J Street Studio was burned severely during the fire, as well as a neighboring apartment building. The apartment building, which includes the home of the owner of Harlow's, is where the fire started and is damaged to the point of a total loss.

Many of the contents of the studio were saved, but no estimates for damages or losses is available at this time. There were no injuries sustained.
