Family and friends gathered to raise money for a young Roseville woman battling cancer Sunday. Their goal is to make at least $2,000.

Brittnee Reed is just 19-years-old and has stage four ovarian cancer.

"She's the type of person who is just everybody's friend, everybody that comes through her line just loves her and she's an amazing cashier," said Silena Constancio, a friend of the woman.

Both Brittnee and her mom work at the Sam's Club in Roseville.

"It has metastasized to her liver, behind her stomach and in her lymph nodes and her neck,” said Brittnee’s mom, Marie.

Brittnee received her first chemo treatments this past week, and she will need many more.

To help the family with future medical bills, co-workers have organized and staffed a car wash that has lasted 4 days.

"We're just trying to help the family out. Any little donation. A little bit counts,” Constancio said.

By noon Sunday, they had nearly reached their goal amount.

"Words cannot express the thanks that I have for all my co-workers. And the love, the love and support that they have been giving me and Britney is just amazing, I can’t thank them enough," Marie said.
