What seemed a slam dunk a short time ago is now anything but when it comes to the Kings and new Arena coming to the rail yard, or so it appears.

The latest development comes in the form of an open records to the City of Sacramento by the Maloofs to figure out what has been said between the city, the National Basketball Association and any others involved.

"It's very disappointing, we are all supposed to be partners," said Mayor Kevin Johnson prior to the Kings game against the Clippers Thursday night.

Kings fans have also become fed up.

"I don't think the Maloofs really have the money," said James Turner of Sacramento.

"I'm sick of them playing with us," one woman told FOX40.

But, not all are blaming the owners.

"That's so much money, I don't blame them for trying to find the best city and deal for their team," said Dave Turner a life long Kings fan from Roseville.

The back and forth between the Kings and the city have been going on for about a week now, after reports surfaced that the Maloof's were still interested in moving the team to Southern California.

The NBA's Board of Governors is expected to pick up the Kings Arena issue at it's end of the year meeting in New York next week.
