WOODLAND - A jury has convicted a Woodland dentist of inappropriately touching female patients previously in his care.

The jurors had heard six weeks of testimony from victims who claimed dentist Mark Anderson rubbed their breasts for sexual gratification.

Anderson's defense team maintained that the alleged groping was actually therapy for a jaw disorder and that the women were on medications that distorted their view of what happened.

Jurors deliberated for eight days before reaching their guilty verdict on sexual battery charges this afternoon.  Overall, Anderson was convicted on eleven felony counts and one misdemeanor.  Six counts were declared a mistrial.
