10 a.m. Huntington Park. Veterans Day ceremony. Freedom Park, 3801 E. 61st Street.

10 a.m. Colton. Veterans Day parade sponsored by the American Legion, Colton Post 155.

10 a.m. Lancaster. Veterans Day ceremony at Lancaster Cemetery, 111 East Lancaster Blvd.

10:30 a.m. Pasadena. A ceremony to honor veterans will include live music, singing by the John Muir High School band and choir, posting of the colors by the Pasadena Unified School District combined JROTC color guard, a bugle demonstration by Boy Scouts Venturing Crew 561 and a flyover. Memorial Park, corner of Walnut and Raymond.

10:30 a.m. Santa Monica. "Gumpathon" arrives in Santa Monica for the Santa Monica Pier Route 66 Veterans Day Celebrations. The Gumpathon team, a group of six men from Britain's Royal Marines and the U.S. Marine Corps, will have completed an eight-week coast-to-coast run across America (inspired by the movie "Forrest Gump") to raise funds for injured service men and women.

10:45 a.m. Hollywood Hills. Veterans Day celebration. Forest Lawn Memorial, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr.

11 a.m. Alhambra. Veterans Day ceremony. Veterans Memorial Wall in Alhambra Park, 500 N. Palm Avenue.

11 a.m. Azusa. Veterans Day recognition on front lawn of Azusa City Hall, 213 E. Foothill Blvd.

11 a.m. Burbank. Veterans Day ceremony at McCambridge Park Memorial (corner of San Fernando Road and Amherst Drive).

11 a.m. Cerritos. Veterans Day ceremony at Cerritos Civic Center (near the Veterans Memorial), 18125 Bloomfield Ave.

11 a.m. Huntington Beach. Veterans Day ceremony takes place at the Huntington Beach Pier Plaza.

11 a.m. Lancaster. Veterans Day ceremony at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, 808 East Lancaster Blvd.

11 a.m. Malibu. Veterans Day Public ceremony at Malibu's Bluff Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway (at Malibu Canyon Road and PCH).

11 a.m. Santa Clarita. Veterans Day ceremony at Veterans Historical Plaza in Old Town Newhall, 24275 North Walnut St.

11 a.m. West Hollywood. Veterans Day ceremony at Sal Guarriello Veterans Memorial in Holloway Park, at the intersection of Holloway Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard. Free parking at Kings Road parking structure, 8383 Santa Monica Blvd.

11:11 a.m. Mission Hills. San Fernando Valley Veterans Day parade. It will begin at San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Laurel Canyon Boulevard and end at the Ritchie Valens Recreation Center and Park, 10736 Laurel Canyon Blvd., Pacoima, where a street carnival will be held.

2 p.m. Redondo Beach. Veterans Day service and dedication of the new Redondo Beach Senior Center. Veterans Park 300 Esplanade (corner of Torrance Boulevard. and Catalina near the pier).

Noon-4 p.m. Los Alamitos. Dedication of Veterans Services Center and Heritage Park. At the Joint Forces Training Base, 11200 Lexington Drive.

3:30 p.m. Rancho Cucamonga. Veterans Day ceremony at Alta Loma High School, 8880 Baseline Road.

7-10 p.m. Culver City. U.S. Veterans' Artists Alliance will host a free book-reading featuring works by veterans and read by veterans. At Pete Valdez AMVETS Post 2, 10858 Culver Blvd.
