LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- An investigation has been launched after a 30-year-old man apparently jumped or fell to his death from a parking structure at the University of Southern California, LAPD officials said Wednesday.

The man's body was found between Parking Structure "D" and the Davidson Conference Center at around 7:18 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim was identified as the son of a USC faculty member who does not attend USC, according to LAPD Sgt. John Bertino.

It's believed he jumped or fell from the seventh floor of the parking structure sometime during the overnight hours, police said.

Detectives were planning to review surveillance tapes for more evidence.

Foul play is not suspected, officials said.
