HEMET (KTLA) -- A diminutive gunman opened fired into a crowd at a house party early this morning, wounding three in the process.
An argument broke out about 1 a.m. at the large party at a home in the 4000 block of East Stetson Avenue. Shortly after, Riverside County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at the address, according to a department news release.
Hemet Valley Hospital and one was taken to Riverside County Regional Medical Center.
All three victims are expected to survive and their wounds were described as "non-life-threatening."
Investigators learned that alcohol was served at the party, which may have contributed to the argument and subsequent shooting.
The shooting suspect is described as a short man -- between five feet one inch tall and five feet seven inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds. He had a light-colored mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt and he fled the party on foot.
