PICO RIVERA (KTLA) -- Three suspected gang members were arrested in connection with the murder of a 17 year old Pico Rivera boy.
Robert Andrew Velazquez was standing in front of a friend's house in the 4100 block of Zola Ave. around 11 p.m. Monday when someone in a moving car shot and killed him.
L.A. County Deputy Guillermina Saldana told KTLA the suspects were arrested this week and were booked for the murder of Velazquez.
"My son meant the world to me," the victim's father Jose Velazquez told KTLA.
Jose Velazquez says his son was a good person who had no gang ties. He made an emotional plea Tuesday morning for the gunman to turn himself in.
"If you're out there, whoever did it, please turn yourself in and do the right thing because you will get caught. And you took a good, beautiful son that has a beautiful family that loves him away from us," he added.
Witnesses told investigators there were three suspects described only as male Hispanics. They were believed to be traveling in a late-model, tan Chevy Trailblazer.
