Get aboard the 1913 Baldwin Steam Locomotive for the Fillmore and Western Railway's Pumpkinliner and Search for the Headless Horseman special Halloween train rides every October weekend. Do your "trick or treating" and pumpkin picking following a historic train ride and barbecue feast.
And, there are train rides Saturday and Sunday in Saugus at the Lombardi Ranch Pumpkin Festival as well as entertainment, wagon rides, and pumpkins. Oh, NO PETS are allowed during the Halloween festivities at the ranch.

While we're talking about the Victorian period, Anaheim's Muzeo has two new exhibits. First, THE QUEEN'S GALLERY is a collection of more than 60 paintings by leading artists of the Victorian Era and nearly 400 personal and decorative objects from the British Empire including walking sticks, weapons, match safes, music boxes, ivory sculptures, bronze statues, household necessities, and fashion accessories. And, second, STEAMPUNK: HISTORY BEYOND IMAGINATION, where you can see the connection between science fact and science fiction in the Victorian era.

And, Halloween weekend isn't Halloween weekend without the 2011 Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, described as a 25-minute experience taking you through a neighborhood of 400-year old children, 15-foot tall mascots of death, and clowns interesting a a lot more than just clowning around. By the way, the hayride and it's massive corn maze are not recommended for children ten years old and younger and it's not recommended for anyone having health issues.
