INDUSTRY -- A big rig overturned on the Pomona (60) Freeway in the City of Industry this morning, creating a traffic mess.
The truck jacknifed and flipped on its side along the westbound lanes around 5:10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
It was not immediately known what caused the driver to lose control.
The wreck prompted the closure of the No. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 lanes while crews worked to clear the scene. The carpool and No. 1 lanes remained
open to traffic. The No. 2 and 3 lanes were reopened about 6 a.m., the CHP reported.
Once the rig was uprighted, much of its load -- gallons of paint -- spilled onto the roadway. Luckilly, officials say, the paint was water-based, making for a much easier cleanup.
No injuries were reported in the accident.
All lanes have since reopened.
