SAN ANSELMO - A woman accused of using her 13-year-old son as a designated driver has pleaded not guilty to charges of child endangerment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and allowing a minor to drive.
Police say Heather Danielle Choulos, 32, and her boyfriend had several drunk-driving arrests between them.
San Anselmo Police Sgt. Rob Schneider says the incident occurred after the three had dinner at a restaurant.
Officers investigating a vehicle stalled on a major thoroughfare discovered the underage driver.
Schneider says the boy claimed he stopped because he was "freaked out" and refused to drive further.
Choulos' boyfriend was not charged.
