WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTLA) -- Mars Incorporated
is pulling three types of Pedigree dog food off shelves due to potential choking hazard.
The voluntary recall involves Pedigree weight management canned dog food with lot codes beginning in 209, 210, 211 or 212.
The cans also have best before dates between 02/24/14 and 03/23/14.
The recall was issued after a small number of customers reported finding pieces of blue plastic in the canned food.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported to date.
