CENTURY CITY, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police are looking for two suspects after an armed robbery at jewelry store in Culver City.
It happened just after noon Wednesday at the "Fast Fix" jewelry store in the Westfield Century City Mall, near Santa Monica Blvd. and Century Park East.
One suspect entered the store and asked to see a $12,500 platinum and diamond wedding set, according to a store employee.
The suspect grabbed the rings and ran out of the store, firing a handgun once into the air to ward off trailing mall security guards.
No one was hurt.
The suspect ran down an escalator to a waiting getaway car, driven by a second man.
The car is described as a silver or beige Chrysler '300', possibly with out-of-state license plates.
A vehicle matching that description was seen by responding LAPD officers northbound on Beverly Glen Blvd. near Sunset Blvd., but police lost sight of it.
