ANGELUS OAKS -- Investigators are trying to determine what led to the fatal shooting of a 60-year-old woman at a religious retreat near San Bernardino.

Celebrada Lomato-Sexton was found shot to death Monday in a cabin at Camp Cedar Falls Campground and Conference Center in Angelus Oaks just before noon.

The victim lived and worked as a maid at the Seventh-day Adventist-run camp facility.

Investigators arrested 30-year old camp worker Leith Hamilton a short time later on suspicion of murder.

Camp officials say Hamilton has worked as a handyman at the camp for 7 years.

"They did know each other, because they both worked and lived at the camp," said Jodi Miller, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

"But it's unknown why or what led to the shooting."

Hamilton is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call sheriff's Detective Scott Cannon or Sgt. Frank Montanez at (909) 387-3589.
