"It's not plastic surgery," the 20-year-old mom told Us Weekly.
Palin said she "had corrective jaw surgery" in December 2010 which she claims was medically necessary.
"It improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons...so my jaw and teeth could properly realign...I don't obsess over my face," she told the magazine.
Bristol, daughter of politician Sarah Palin, also shed a few pounds, adding to her transformation.
She says overall, she's happy with the way she looks now.
"I am absolutely thrilled with the results," she gushes to Us Weekly. "I look older, more mature, and don't have as much of a chubby little baby face!"
Palin has a 2-year-old son, Tripp, with ex-fiance Levi Johnston.
