PLACENTIA (KTLA) -- A 71-year-old man with an unknown medical condition died Friday evening after crashing into several cars before hitting a light police, officials say.
The man, Robert Allen Williamson, of Brea, was driving a Toyota Prius about 7:50 p.m. heading east on Imperial Highway when he lost control of the car. The Prius struck several cars and Williamson's 71-year-old wife tried to steer the car from the passenger seat until the car crashed near Rose Drive, police said.
Paramedics rushed Williamson to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His wife was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
No other inujries were reported, police said.
