PEARBLOSSOM -- An attempted kidnapping of a 10 year old girl at a Los Angeles County park has started a search for a child predator.

The girl was playing with friends and family at Pearblossom Park on July 3rd.

About 4 p.m., she strayed from her group and was approached by the suspect who grabbed her arm and attempted to take her to a secluded portion of the park.

The girl was able to get away from her attacker and run over to a family member who was nearby.

Law enforcement was immediately called and they searched the park for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a male white, 30-40 years old, 5' 9" to 6' tall, medium build.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, brown shorts and dark sunglasses.

He was seen in a silver compact vehicle with a spoiler.

A sketch artist was able to work with the girl to create a picture of the suspect.
