Allie Mac Kay kicks off her Wild Wednesday series with The Los Angeles Equestrian Vaulting Club in Shadow Hills.

Vaulting is the art and sport of gymnastics on horseback, and so much more. Vaulting provides young equestrians with a deep appreciation and unique understanding of the human, equine relationship. Vaulting is also a beneficial cross-training tool to develop coordination, balance, strength, creativity and positive self esteem. Vaulting aids in all areas of riding instruction, including team building and therapeutic riding. Due to the nature of the sport, it is a natural choice for equestrian clinicians looking to create multi-disciliplanary training forums for riders of all ages and interests.

The Los Angeles Equestrian Vaulting Club (LAEVC), founded by Coach Blake Dahlgren in September of 2011, operates out of Shadow Hills Riding Center in Shadow Hills, California. The goal and mission of LAEVC is to inspire creativity and promote long lasting equestrian partnerships through the art and sport of equestrian vaulting. LAEVC aims to use vaulting to better each club member as athletes, teammates and people while helping them to become Champions on and off the horse. The Los Angeles Equestrian Vaulting Club is a Nationally competitive program that currently has 9 talented members and 3 talented horses.

LAEVC maintains a year-round schedule of vaulting classes on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and offers monthly vaulting clinics on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Private lessons available by appointment.
