BALDWIN PARK (KTLA) -- All lanes of the westbound 10 were shut down in Baldwin Park early Wednesday morning as police investigated a shooting on the freeway.
The shooting happened just after midnight near Baldwin Park Boulevard, according to Sgt. John Escobedo.
The driver of a white BMW was transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
He was undergoing surgery at USC Medical Center and was listed in stable condition, according to authorities. It was not immediately clear where he was shot.
The passenger in the car, a 23-year-old female, was not injured. She was being interviewed by deputies.
A Sig Alert was issued and all westbound lanes of the 10 were closed to accommodate the investigation. The freeway was reopened as of 5 a.m.
No information has been released about the suspect vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to call the California Highway Patrol in Baldwin Park.
