SAN DIEGO -- Sunday's game between the San Diego Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons at Qualcomm Stadium will not be broadcast in Southern California, Chargers officials said Thursday.
Fans did not buy enough tickets to sell out the stadium 72 hours prior to kickoff, so the game will be blacked out in the local television market, the Chargers said.
The game starts at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, and as of 1:05 p.m. Thursday, about 9,200 general admission tickets remained unsold, team officials said.
Fans can purchase tickets at Qualcomm Stadium Gate C, the Chargers website, TicketMaster outlets or by calling TicketMaster at 1-800-745-3000. The Chargers’ ticket office is open weekdays 8-5 pm and Saturday 10-4 p.m.
