ODOT/Valley, No. Coast: Slick winter road conditions are creating problems on most roads in the mid Willamette Valley this morning. Motorists should consider delaying any unnecessary travel, if possible, or be prepared for severe winter driving conditions.  Icy conditions have caused a number of crashes on state highways.  Motorists will need to drive slowly, expect slow traffic, keep a safe distance and leave plenty of travel time.  Clackamas Co. ODOT/Valley, No. Coast: Slick winter road conditions are creating problems in Linn and Benton counties near Albany.  There are reports of crashes and spin outs on I-5 in both northbound and southbound directions at milepost 231.   Also, US 20 (Albany-Corvallis Hwy) is closed at milepost five due to a crash.  Motorists should postpone unnecessary travel, if possible, or be prepared for severe winter driving conditions on many roads and highways in the Mid-Willamette Valley.
