If you had to pick a movie, just one movie, to represent your home state, what would it be?

Buzzfeed.com has created a unique map of the U.S. - with every state represented by the movie that best personifies it.

So if it were up to you... what would you choose for Oregon? One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest? That was shot at the Oregon State Hospital in Salem, which was also where the book by Ken Kesey was set.

Not quintessentially Oregon enough? How about Twilight? The beyond-phenomenon best-selling books-made-into-movies that launched Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson into the stratosphere (and set the term R-Patz into the cultural lexicon, sadly) also have a local tie. Parts of the first movie were shot in Oregon back in 2007. Most famously, parts of the "prom scene" were filmed at the historic View Point Inn, which suffered a near-catastrophic fire in the summer of 2011.

But if that doesn't scream Oregon loudly enough, maybe this will:

That's right. The Goonies. That's what makes up Oregon in the movie-map of the states. Not a bad showing... It could be worse. We could be Texas or Maine and be represented creepy serial killer movies.

Maybe it says something about Oregon's spirit that she is represented by a movie about a bunch of down-on-their luck kids who go on an ill-advised adventure, beat the bad guys, and come out richer in friendship (and in jewelry) because of it. Goonies never say die!
