NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO—
Aerialist Nik Wallenda made a historic tightrope walk over Niagara Falls Friday night. He stepped onto Canadian soil after an 1800 foot journey on a two inch cable.
Wallenda is a member of the famed flying Wallendas family of aerialists and took more than 25 minutes to accomplish his goal. The treacherous walk was captured on live television.
Wallenda said he performed the stunt to "inspire" people.
