Previously on Elephant Talks we heard Texas state GOP chair Steve Munisteri proclaim:

'Texas, the largest Republican state in the Union, whose citizens for 20 years have had the good sense not to elect a single Democrat statewide, and which has led the nation in job creation for the last ten years because we actually still believe in capitalism, cast one vote 'uncommitted', one vote for Gov. Buddy Roemer, one vote for Gov. John Huntsman, one vote for Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, one vote for Sen. Rick Santorum, twenty votes for our fellow Texan and defender of liberty Ron Paul,  and 130 votes for the man who will lead our party to victory and our country to prosperity, the next President of the United States, Gov. Mitt Romney!'

Lake Jackson’s Ron Paul may be popular with the Texas delegation, but the Mitt Mob controlling the convention would rather he go home, which is why they would not let him speak. And a fight over seating his delegates led to a walkout by Paul supporters from Maine.

But Ron Paul was not the only Texan snubbed. You would be hard-pressed to find coverage of senatorial candidate Ted Cruz.

"Unfortunately, President Obama's campaign is trying to divide America, to separate us into groups, telling seniors Medicare will be taken away, telling Hispanics that we're not welcome here and sending the vice president to preach a message of division.  It's tragic how far we've come from hope and change."

But all hands were on deck as Ann Romney walked us down the mitt memory lane.

"I read somewhere that Mitt and I have a storybook marriage. Well, let me tell you something. In the storybooks I read, there never were long, long rainy winter afternoons at a house with five boys screaming at once.  And those storybooks never seemed to have chapters called MS or breast cancer. A storybook marriage? Nope. Not at all. What Mitt Romney and I have is a real marriage."

Today, she and Janna Ryan, wife of VP 2B Paul Ryan continued to tell women why they should support their husbands.

'I already feel I have got a name for Mitt and for Paul. How do you like the Dynamic Duo?'
