Popular Eatery Closes for Inauguration Week
The Breakfast Klub is a popular restaurant in downtown Houston famous for it's good food, but today the owner, Marcus Davis, is locking up and shutting it down for the next seven days.
Washington DC for Barack Obama's presidential inauguration Tuesday.
"I just want to go and I just want to witness," said Davis. "Absorb the spirituality of the moment. This is a tipping point in American history. Not just because of an African American being president, but this is an opportunity for voices across the country to feel included, involved, and engaged in the process."
Some of his customers said they'll have to settle for a local watch party or find other means...
"Unfortunately I have to work, so I'm going to Tivo it," said Kia Fleurinore.
"On Tuesday I'll be at home," said Francis Roberts. "I took the day off so I can watch it on television."
Richard Colquitt said although he voted for Senator John McCain, he is planning not to miss out on the show.
"Of course it's historic," explained Colquitt. "I would probably watch any inauguration. This has special meaning for our country and that's good. I'm happy for the country."
