Talk about a crying shame. Spanish tennis player, David Ferrer was so annoyed a small child was crying during the quarterfinals of the Sony Ericcson Open he decided to take matters into his own hands and shut her up.
Having a hissy fit of his own, he hit a tennis ball into the stands right at the kid. Luckily his aim was off and didn't directly hit the little darling but the crying did stop.
Didn't make any difference; Ferrer lost in straight sets to American Mardy Fish. He blamed his loss on indigestion, not the fussy kid.
What do you think? Should Ferrer be ashamed of himself? Or is it partly the fault of the parents who brought a bawling kid to a tennis match where silence is golden during play?
