First a fat director, then a saggy pant rocker, and now a lesbian actress, Southwest Airlines is at it again.
Former L Word actress, Leisha Hailey, says Southwest Airlines kicked her off of a flight because she was kissing her girlfriend.
Hailey, 40, is now calling for a boycott against the homophobic airline. Apparently, Hailey boarded the plane with her long-time girlfriend, and the two began kissing in their seats. Several other passengers complained about the PDA, prompting a flight attendant to tell the couple that Southwest was a "family" airline and kissing was not tolerated. An argument reportedly ensued, and the actress and her girlfriend were shown the door.
Hailey then did what the other stars have done when kicked off, took to twitter. Hailey tweeted, "I have been discriminated against by @SouthwestAir."
"Flt. attendant said that it was a 'family' airline and kissing was not ok."
"This is an outrage," she added. "I demand a public apology by @SouthwestAir and a refund. Hate is not a family value. I will never fly this airline."
"We were escorted off the plane for getting upset about the issue. @SouthwestAir endorses homophobic employees. No one made her accountable."
She went on to tweet, "Boycott SouthwestAir if you are gay. They don't like us."
A rep for Southwest tweeted her back with a quick apology -- asking for Hailey to contact the company privately so they can sort out a solution.
The airline later released a statement saying, "we received several passenger complaints characterizing the behavior as excessive. Our crew, responsible for the comfort of all customers on board, approached the passengers based solely on behavior and not gender. The conversation escalated to a level that was better resolved on the ground, as opposed to in flight."
The statement concluded: "We regret any circumstance where a passenger does not have a positive experience on Southwest and we are ready to work directly with the passengers involved to offer our heartfelt apologies for falling short of their expectation."
Ironically, Southwest is the official airline of GLAAD.
What do you think? Should Leisha Hailey and her girlfriend have been kicked off the plane for kissing?

Shannon writes: "There's a difference between kissing and making out. Doesn't matter straight or gay, making out in public is inappropriate."
