Forget the Golden Globes and the Oscars. This year's hottest ticket may be the premiere International 'Stache Film Festival. That's 'stache as in "mustache."

Don't expect to see any films by Tom Selleck, Groucho Marx or other stars famous for their facial fur.

This is an amateur film festival, celebrating the mustache. Folks are encouraged to enter self-produced films, 8 minutes or less, featuring mustached characters or having a mustache theme.

The lucky winner of the festival will receive a whopping 100 bucks. Besides the big "grand prize," awards will be given out March 30th in categories like Best Stache Growth Story, Best Mustache Death Relationship Story and Best Collection of Mustaches in One Film.

"Like any mustache," event organizer Nick Callanan says the festival will "start with a small sprout but we're hoping it grows into a big eye-tickling monstrosity.'

Entries are being accepted from all over the world, and there is no fee to enter. Go to stachefilmfest.com for more information.

Admission to the 'Stache Film Fest is also free for those who arrive with the proper attire-- a mustache, of course. The clean shaven can purchase tickets which will benefit My Stache Fights Cancer, as well as the Northeast Historic Film group.
