Passengers on a Jet Blue plane headed from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Newark, New Jersey were detoured to Connecticut in the wake of the northeast storm.
To add insult to injury...they were stuck on the tarmac at Bradley International Airport for more than eight hours and weren't even allowed to use the bathroom!
The passengers weren't the only ones upset. Pilots were running out of patience as well radioing the tower saying, “My priority right now is a tug and a towbar. If you just give me a welding shop I’ll be willing to make one myself.”
Jet Blue says the plan was to allow the plane to fuel up and fly back to Newark, but had to switch things around after the airport had been overwhelmed with diverted flights.
They apologized to passengers and guaranteed a refund for the cost of the plane ticket.
