Here's some good news. Companies are hiring again and unemployment is going down.

According to the Labor Department the economy added 200,000 jobs in December. Closing out the year with 1.6-million jobs gained in 2011. The unemployment rate fell to 8.5%, its lowest level since February 2009.
This is great news, but what happened?
The unemployment rate has fallen for four consecutive months, which means that this is a trend.
Overall, the job market has a long way to go to fully recover from the financial crisis. The economy still needs to add about 6-million jobs to get back to 2008 employment levels.
So, be cautiously optimistic, but don't start maxing out your credit card again just yet.
