For the first time, a witness speaks giving all the details and bringing the disturbing grand jury report to life.
McQueary took the stand today in the preliminary hearing for the two Penn State administrators who are charged with lying to a grand jury and doing nothing when told about Sandusky’s behavior.
McQueary testified he told both the Athletic Director Tim Curley and university Vice President Gary Shultz what he saw in a Penn State locker room back in 2002.
The exact words being used in this case are crucial because Curley and Shultz claim they were told about a 'horsing around' incident in the shower, but never knew it was of a sexual nature.
McQueary is sticking to his story saying under oath: “Jerry was having some type of intercourse with him, that’s what I believe I saw.”
“Jerry was behind him, his hands wrapped around the boy.”
McQueary explained why he went to Joe Paterno and the two-administrators instead of calling police.
“I thought I was talking to the head of police...in my mind it was like speaking to a district attorney.”
McQueary is referring to Shultz, who at the time was head of campus police.
During one of his latest rants Jerry Sandusky’s lawyer had this to say about McQueary’s claim that the administrators punished Sandusky by simply taking away his locker room key, “I suggest you dial 1-800-reality because that makes absolutely no sense.”
What makes no sense is why anyone would lie and willingly get involved in this mess.
