A Marshall man has been missing for nearly a week. Family tell us he was helping a relative move when he, his wife and two grand-daughters got lost in Missouri City.
On Saturday morning an Equi-Search team were back out looking for him. Family traveled down to wait for hopeful news.
"Its hard to believe I never thought it would be anything like this," said Dennise Washington.
Washington says his father, 73 year old Jessie James Washington was helping a relative move back to Marshall, TX last weekend. He was traveling back home with his wife and two grandchildren when they got lost and ran out of gas. Washington left to get help but never returned.
"(We have searchers on foot, on ATV's, a dive team in the water and nothing has come up," said Frank Black with Texas Equi-Search.
The team of volunteers searched through heavy brush on Saturday morning around the Lake Shore Harbour subdivision.
"This is the last place Mr. Washington was last seen," said Black.
But not even the Missouri City police department have found any clues that could lead them to his whereabouts.
"Hoping and praying," said Jesse Washington.
Still, relatives traveled to Missouri City to wait for any bit of information that may give them some hope.
"I'm staying positive hoping that he's somewhere around I'm just saying if were going to find him and he's coming back I'm not going to think negative and say he's not here," said Dana Washington. "I'm just hoping for the best."
The team of searchers know every minute is critical especially since Marshall is diabetic and takes medication for high blood pressure.
"We ask people to pray for him that we find him and get him back safe," said Black.
If you think you may have seen Washington anywhere please call the Missouri City police department.
