Also, expect the unexpected with Brady the master improvisationalist. Brady's one man show opens tomorrow night and runs through Sunday.
Opening day for the Texas Renaissance Festival is Saturday. Octoberfest kick offs the fun with polka and yodeling contests, plus don't forget the brautwurst. The Renaissance theme park in Plantersville is open every Saturday and Sunday through November 30.
Next indulge in the tastes of Italy at the Festa Italiana... pizza, pasta, and more all for consumption. The Italian Festival at the Houston Farm and Ranch Club runs both Saturday and Sunday.
Monday, take the kids to the zoo. Admission is free, afterall Monday is a holiday. October 13th is Columbus Day.
Finally sports fans, don't have to wait until Sunday to get a football fix. Check out "The Express" in theaters Saturday. The movie from Universal Pictures is based on the life of college football hero Ernie Davis. Davis was the first African-American to win the Heisman trophy. His coach pushed him to fight for equality on the field and in life and is played by Dennis Quaid in the movie. "The Express" is rated PG.
