Can anyone else believe what's going on with the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal?
Saints players are trying to swallow the bitter pills doled out Wednesday by the NFL.
Payton wasn't the only Saint to fall in bounty-gate and the football world is waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Players could face some suspensions.
"Our punishment is designed to make sure people that we’re going to hold them accountable and responsible for what goes on in their organizations," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said.
The biggest punishment, handed to former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who oversaw and contributed money to the illegal fund, he was suspended indefinitely.
Knockouts were worth $1,500 and cart-offs $1,000, with payments doubled or tripled for the playoffs.
So, was the Saints Super Bowl win in 2009 even considered legit if they cheated to get there?
About the only good thing to come out of this, we`ll probably hear less of that annoying 'who dat?'
