You may see her as just another beauty queen.  But there's a lot to Connor Boss that doesn't meet the eye, especially her eyes.

She's first legally blind woman to compete in the Miss Florida USA pageant. 

At six months old, Boss developed a build-up of red blood vessels over her eye.   Surgery took care of that.  But a few years later, she developed a completely unrelated condition, called Stargardt disease.  It slowly took away her eyesight.

'It affects my retina and my central vision, so my peripheral vision is intact,' she says.

At the pageant, Boss didn't get any extra help.  But she came out on her feet and made it into the top five; a testament to her hard work, and vision.
