Jerry Jones placed a high priority on signing a back up quarterback to Tony Romo
and today he got his man. Jon Kitna
comes to the Cowboys in a trade with the Lions that sends Anthony Henry
Kitna is 36 years old and started the first four games for the Lions last year before a back injury sent him to injured reserve for the rest of the season. He started every game for the Lions in both 2006 and 2007
Anthony Henry leaves Dallas after four seasons. He started all 16 games for the Cowboys last year and compiled 55 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 pressures, 7 pass break ups and 1 interception.
It will be a reunion of sorts in the Cowboys locker room between Kitna and Roy Williams. They connected for 13 touchdowns over the last two and a half seasons in Detroit.
