On a day of honest admissions, Seattle coach Pete Carroll freely acknowledged having a flashback to Southern California on Sunday.

The Seahawks got away with plenty of mistakes in Sunday's 27-20 victory over San Diego. None was bigger than a time-management meltdown at the end of the first half when Matt Hasselbeck tried to sneak in from the Chargers 2 with 19 seconds left and Seattle out of timeouts.

Carroll says the Seahawks got too bold there and were lucky to make up for that failure with the two second-half kickoff returns for touchdowns by Leon Washington. Carroll says he got accustomed to being successful when he was bold with play calls at USC.
