SEATTLE—After two beautiful days at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, the winner of the Seahawks Cup was determined in a tough competition in the Seahawks Pro-Am. Paired with Gary Hallberg on Wednesday and Mike Hulbert on Thursday, the team from Comcast/Golf Channel reigned victorious with a combined score of 110 (55-55). The Runner-Up from Columbia Distributing posted a two-round score 112 (53-59).
Tom Purtzer led his teams to individual day competition wins on both Wednesday and Thursday, recording a 53 on Wednesday and a 52 on Thursday.
Allen Doyle stepped up to the tee box at the 6th hole, landed the ball on the green and then watched it roll in to the cup to notch the 19th hole-in-one of his career.
TOM KITE ARRIVES IN SEATTLE FOLLOWING THE UNVEILING OF LIBERTY NATIONAL Co-architects and visionaries Tom Kite and Bob Cup turned what was once an industrial waste in Jersey City, N.J. into a true treasure. Liberty National Golf Course is a course on the Hudson River with the breathtaking backdrop of the Manhattan skyline and Lady Liberty. This week Kite and Cup unveiled their course to the best players on the PGA Tour. These golf professionals will experience Liberty National as they prepare for The Barclays, the first tournament of the FedEx Cop Playoffs. The course opened three years ago, but this their first time to host an event.

TOURNAMENT COMPETITION TO BEGIN, PAIRINGS SET FOR FRIDAY'S FIRST ROUND Tournament competition begins on Friday at 11:30am with groups of three teeing off at holes 1 and 10. Fans will have an opportunity to watch some of the biggest names in the field tee off at the first hole in three consecutive groups beginning at 12:20pm. Those pairings feature Bernhard Langer and John Cook at 12:20pm; Fred Funk, Loren Roberts and Jay Haas at 12:30pm; and Gary Player, Nick Price and last week's winner Mike Reid at 12:40pm.
