The Maryland-Washington Minority Contractors Association would have us believe that a project labor agreement covering workers at the Port Covington redevelopment site would be a terrible injustice to the minority community ("Port Covington labor agreement threatens minority businesses," July 29).

Yet if the PLA is approved, should we feel bad that the black, white and Hispanic men and women who actually do the work on the project are provided with a larger share of the profits in the form of higher wages and benefits, or that they are guaranteed safe working...
