Maybe it was the all black uniforms, the appearance by Joe Tiller at Ross Ade Stadium, or maybe the Boilers found whatever they lost before their loss to Northern Illinois last week.

Whether it was the lights, the attention or the team, it seemed that Purdue was in a position to give Danny Hope his first win over Notre Dame, especially when Jaycen Taylor put the Boilers third touchdown of the night in the endzone to give them a four point lead.

But then came Jimmy Clausen, a 72 yard drive, an ill advised time out from the Boilers, and a last second touchdown on fourth down for the Irish, who managed to pluck a win from the Purdue's hands 24-21 Saturday night.

Adam Bartels was in the press box Saturday night from start to finish, and read how he saw the game in his Boiler Blog.
