This boys and girls doubleheader will be played on Sunday, April 18th, at 2 p.m. (boys) and 4 p.m. (Girls). The North/South Indiana All-Star Classic is sponsored by Oak Hill High School, Hoosier Basketball Magazine and Pacesetter Sports of Terre Haute.
There are three 20 ppg plus scorers on the North squad Jake Kitchell, South Central (Union Mills), (23.5 ppg - Indiana State), Russell Byrd, Fort Wayne Blackhawk (23.2 - Michigan State) and Jordon Cornelious, Madison-Grant (21.2 - IPFW).
The North boys will be coached by Mississinewa's Chanse Young. Danville's Brian Barber will guide the South crew.
Twenty-two girls will perform in the second game. Two Oak Hill standouts who will attend Purdue highlight the North team. They are the state's leading scorer Courtney Moses (31.7 ppg) and center Ashley Pickering. Four other outstanding North players include Jada Buggs, Elkhart Memorial (Wisconsin), Tabitha Gerardot, Fort Wayne Canterbury (Valparaiso), Garbrielle Minix, Oregon-Davis (Marquette) and Jasmine Penny, Logansport (DePaul).
The South team features Dee Dee Williams of the two-time undefeated AAAA State Champion Ben Davis (Purdue) and a member of the AA State Champion Austin Eagles Katy McIntosh (Indianapolis). Six Division I recruits who will play at Indiana colleges are Maegan Callaway, Mooresville (Valparaiso), Sara Hamm, Winchester (Butler), Liz Horton, Barr-Reeve (Valparaiso), Mandy McDivitt, Connersville (Butler), Anna Munn, Decatur Central (Indiana State) and Brandy Woody, Western Boone (Ball State).
The North team will be led by Oak Hill's Todd Law. Connersville's Michael Thompson will coach the South.
